Mizel’s Preschool program
encompasses a developmental philosophy for students which include an emphasis on fine and gross motor development, language acquisition, and internalizing concepts and strategies through firsthand, meaningful experiences.
Children work in small, flexible groups with an integrated curriculum incorporating math, science, social studies through themes and special projects.
Teachers support emerging literacy as children learn to recognize letter names and initial sounds and to generate rhyming words.
Social relationships are fostered with older students through buddy reading and other activities together.
Intergenerational opportunities arise through visits with seniors at monthly Shabbat services.
Other experiences at weekly Shabbat, attending a special Havdalah service and ongoing Judaic instruction help to create a meaningful Jewish identity in a warm secure environment.
